Visiting Nurse Services
Saranac Lake Heath Association is a New York State Licensed Home Care Service Agency. We employ Registered Professional and Licensed Practical Nurses for in-home care visits free of charge to residents of the Saranac Lake Central School District. Services are appropriate for individuals with a skilled nursing need that can be safely met on an intermittent basis. Weekend and on-call service is not available.
Services are authorized by a primary care physician, but anyone can call Saranac Lake Health Association to initiate the referral process. Oftentimes, we’re able to provide nursing care that includes services not available from another provider (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, or Private Insurance.)
Typical services include:
- Medication Management
- Blood Pressure & Health Assessments,
- Skin & Wound Care
- Symptom Monitoring & Health Education
